Under Plex: Object, Memory, and Encasement
With the Under Plex series, my urban archaeology work steps off the wall and into the realm of sculptural objects. I create one-of-a-kind pieces by assembling bricks and analog elements drawn from collective memory—such as audio cassettes, vintage televisions, boomboxes, and comic book covers—while embedding modern technology through an NFC chip.
To protect and elevate these creations, each piece features a custom, high-end plexiglass encasement developed in close collaboration with artist Yanai Navon at the Meitsag Atelier & Gallery (Florentine, Tel Aviv). This technical and meticulous casing allows the artwork to be admired from every angle, revealing the depth of the material and the precision of the object.
AUDIO TAPE
Each piece features an integrated NFC chip: a simple tap with a smartphone instantly triggers the original music video and soundtrack—such as All Caps by Madvillain (MF DOOM & Madlib)—bridging physical brickwork with digital memory.

“The Batman Vintage TV project”
